Heber

Now don't make fun of us...we just needed some time off! We know there are places more exotic and places with more entertainment. But who can afford to fly and when it comes to driving more than 2 hours with my three kids (Matt counts as one when it comes to road trips:) Heber became the most exotic and most entertaining place for a vacation! That and we are pretty cheap! We really did have fun. We stayed at Daniels Summit Lodge. It was very nice. Matt's work surprised us and called ahead with a $50 room credit and a big box of Daniel Summit fudge. We used the money to eat at the lodge's restaurant.
Sam was obsessed with the big bear in front of the lodge.
We went on a little hike. Sam stopped every two seconds to collect rocks, leaves and berries.
Sammy loved running through
all the dead leaves
We don't call her "BC" for nothing! (butt-crack)

The most fun thing we did is go on the "Heebie Creepie" It said online that it was appropriate for small children...having gone on it I would say it depends on who that small child is! At first Sam was in heaven riding the train. The scary stories and scenes outside the train didn't bother her at all. But then the train stopped, all lights went out and all the scary characters started going up and down the aisles. Sammy kept hiding behind Matt and yelling that she didn't want to look. But then curiousity would win and she'd look.

The kids slept on the way to the train station. I had to take a picture cause it was the most relaxing part of the trip for Matt & I!

I think overall Sammy loved the Heebie Creepie! But she did have nightmares all that night. It was really sad watching her in the hotel bed yelling and pushing things away in her sleep. She would yell, "no" then almost fall out of the bed. I felt so bad!

That is so cute. I can relate to vacations close to home and cheap. I also get very sad when Kinsey gets nightmares.

I love the BC nickname. Awesome!
Also, I can't believe all the things Sammy says. And whenever I call your house and get the answering machine I'm amazed at her talking on it. She is so freakin smart.
